MODERN MASTERS
111 West 57th Street is composed of the original landmarked Steinway Hall building designed in 1925 by Warren and Wetmore and a new tower addition designed by SHoP Architects on the adjacent site, with interior design by Studio Sofield. The Result: A new landmark on the Manhattan skyline.
SHOP ARCHITECTS
SHoP Architects harness their interdisciplinary expertise to create architecture that makes our cities more vibrant, beautiful, and rewarding places for all to live. From its studios in New York’s historic Woolworth Building, the critically-acclaimed firm has a staff of 180 talented people and projects spanning four continents. At the heart of SHoP’s work is a respect for the expressive potential of traditional architectural materials, and a pioneering technological capability that transforms them into inspiring statements. At 111 West 57th Street, SHoP’s design evokes the qualities of form and craft for which the finest Manhattan skyscrapers have always been celebrated. 111 will be at once unique on the skyline and impossible to imagine rising anywhere else.
STUDIO SOFIELD
Studio Sofield, led by Principal William Sofield, is a design firm with the reputation for a thoughtful, multi-disciplined approach to design characterized by working in response to not only the project locale but the unique needs of the client. All of Sofield’s projects imbue a restrained luxury in design through choices in materials and craft as well as through a process of discovery where clients decipher their very own concept of luxury. With 111 West 57th Street, William Sofield has incorporated this philosophy with his Historicist training to develop a considerate and contemporary response to the changing New York City skyline.
Residences
Tower Residences - At 111 West 57th Street offer expansive full floor or duplex homes with ceiling heights up to 14 feet, and most with unobstructed views of Central Park and the city skyline.
THE GREAT HALL - The signature Great Hall, with ceiling heights up to 14’, is a soaring space perfect for all entertaining occasions. The floor to ceiling window wall, spanning the full width of the building from east to west, offers a perfectly centred view of Central Park.
PRINCIPAL BEDROOM - Feature floor to ceiling windows with bronze mullions and expansive, perfectly centered views of the Manhattan skyline or Central Park.
KITCHENS - Are custom crafted by Studio Sofield. A variety of layouts are available, each featuring breathtaking north or south views with abundant light as well as custom cabinetry in a light hand-rubbed finish, stepped crystallo white quartzite countertops and backsplash, and full suite of Gaggenau appliances.
PRINCIPAL BATH - Feature walls and floors finished in veined white onyx, a custom antique polished free standing tub by William Holland, and custom Studio Sofield designed bronze fixtures cast by P.E. Guerin.
PRIVATE OUTDOOR LOGGIA RESIDENCES - Full-floor loggias in select residences offer elevated, sheltered, open-air entertaining experiences unrivaled throughout Manhattan with panoramic views of Central Park to the north and the city skyline to the south. All loggia spaces are fully customizable to fit the needs of the most discerning residents.

PRIVATE PORTE COCHÈRE - 111 West 57th Street establishes a lifestyle of luxury – with a gracious and secure entrance experience featuring a rare, private and sheltered porte cochère with custom urn chandeliers, rusticated gray granite pavers, and intricate grill work doors inspired by the bronze filigree on the building’s exterior.
ARRIVAL - An intimate atmosphere is established by 24-hour doormen and dedicated concierge attending to resident’s every need.
POOL, SPA & GYM - A beautiful and serene 82’ lap pool features double-height vaulted ceilings, alcove cabanas and lounge seating throughout, and custom ornate wall sconces complemented by separate sauna and treatment rooms and a double-height fitness center.
